Iran sends elite troops to aid Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria – Telegraph.

Western Intelligence agencies have reported that Iran have sent elite troops to help Assad’s regime in Syria. They claim the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has sanctioned the sending of 150 of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. Syria is Iran’s closest ally in the region and the Iranians do not want to see the Assad regime fall.

Assad has enabled Iran to ship arms, supplies and equipment to Lebanon to help Hizbollah maintain it’s aggression against Israel.

  1. The Canadian authorities just shut down the Canadian embassy in Iran because if thier consistent support for terror groups, it’s nuclear program and it’s hostility towards Israel. Seems like prime minister Stephen Harper doing more to be the leader if the free workd than Obama is.

On a side note, it has always been known that Hezbollah in Lebanon is effectively run by Iran.
