Judge Overturns Trump-Era Permission for Alaska Oil Project

A new oil project in Alaska approved by Trump in late 2020, and backed by Biden has been overturned by a judge.

U.S. District Court Judge Sharon Gleason in Anchorage vacated permits for ConocoPhillips’ Willow Project in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska in a 110-page ruling.

Gleason said the project failed to include mitigation measures for polar bears, and was flawed.
