The President has nominated Judge Amy Coney Barrett to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg in the Supreme Court.

Barrett, a staunch conservative, is one of the youngest to be nominated to the post. And if elected could be in the lifetime role for decades. She is a similar figure in the judiciary to the late conservative Antonin Scalia,

“His judicial philosophy is mine too: a judge must apply the law as written. Judges are not policymakers,” Barrett said.
