The Dalai Lama will receive the £1 million Templeton Prize in London on Monday at St. Paul’s Cathedral.
The Templeton Prize is given annually to a person who has contributed to “affirming life’s spiritual dimension”.
Sir John Templeton, who founded the prized, wanted to find the “entrepreneurs of the spirit”.
The ceremony will be held on Monday 14th May at St. Paul’s Cathedral in central London, the famous site of royal weddings and coronations, key to historical Britain.
The Dalai Lama will give his prize money away on Monday to a secret recipient.
Monks from the Dalai Lama’s personal entourage will chant their Tibetan rituals during the ceremony, inside the famous Christian cathedral dating back to 605AD.
