A preliminary injunction has been put in place by a federal judge to stop Biden’s administration from narrowing the categories under which border agents can arrest and deport illegal immigrants.
“America First Legal has been working in close partnership with Texas, Louisiana, and states around the country in litigation against many of the Biden administration’s radical immigration policies, including the anti-ICE memos that free criminal illegal aliens en masse,” AFL President Stephen Miller, a former senior official in the Trump administration, wrote in a statement.

New York lawmakers have voted to allow illegal immigrants to obtain drivers licenses. They have become the 13th state to do so. Lawmakers have even said free child care will be available for parents whilst going through the process to obtain one. All an individual requires is an expired passport, identification from a consulate or a license from their home nation.
However officials are concerned how they will manage to process the expected influx of forms. A lot of the documentation is expected to be in foreign languages and of a type officials are unfamiliar with; raising concerns that fake documentation will be used with ease. It is expected half a million illegal immigrants will qualify.
A Washington DC think tank have also attacked the decision as a threat to national security, by allowing people to obtain official identification who may want to use it for nefarious intentions. “The federal government should not simply surrender to the unreasonable and potentially unconstitutional limitations imposed on federal immigration and local law enforcement agencies by this law,” the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) writes in its extensive report.

California’s Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a bill that would extend healthcare provision to illegal immigrants aged 19-25.
The bill will extend healthcare provision to around 90,000 individuals at an estimated cost of $98 million.

Florida officials in the counties of Palm Beach and Broward are angry at plans to send 1000s of illegal immigrants to them in the coming weeks. The authorities have said they would be unable to cope with such a large influx of immigrants into their region.
President Trump has previously said he was considering sending illegal immigrants awaiting processing to sanctuary cities to alleviate the pressure on the States and towns around the Mexican border.
The President had told reporters: “We’ll bring them to sanctuary city areas and let that particular area take care of it…… They say we have open arms, they’re always saying they have open arms, let’s see if they have open arms.”
