The end is near for Roger Ailes

Roger Ailes’ 20-year reign as the boss of cable TV’s No. 1 news outlet could soon be coming to an end as he negotiates his departure from Fox News Channel.

Ailes, 76 — who built Fox News into an influential, $3 billion business — is reportedly being shunted aside in the wake of a sexual harassment suit filed against him by former anchor Gretchen Carlson.

Ailes has strongly denied the accusation.

And while most FNC female staffers lined up to support Ailes, one did not: Megyn Kelly.

Boston Police Captain Turns Son in for Plotting Islamic State Jihad

On Thursday, a grand jury indicted 23-year-old Alexander Ciccolo – also known as Ali al Amriki, “Amriki” being the surname the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) usually gives to American recruits – on a host of new charges related to his alleged support for the Islamic State.
Ciccolo’s father, Boston police captain Robert Ciccolo, contacted the FBI in 2014 over his son’s expressed wishes to fight for the Islamic State, launching a surveillance operation that ended up producing a long list of terrorism-related charges.

The elder Ciccolo has been criticized from some quarters for not treating his son as mentally ill and renewing the psychological care that had lapsed in his late teens, instead going to the FBI.

The indictments against Alexander Ciccolo make it clear just how dangerous he was. He stocked his apartment with Molotov cocktails, and was working on a pressure-cooker bomb similar to those used by the Tsarnaev brothers in the Boston Marathon bombing. He told an FBI informant that he planned to detonate his bomb in a crowded college cafeteria. He also spoke of carrying out bomb attacks against two bars and a police station.

OBAMA FUTHER INFLAMES AND RECRUITS MUSLIMS TO JOIN ISIS BY PROCLAIMING A CONFUSED GENDER BAR AS A US NATIONAL MONUMENT

President Barack Obama announced his decision to designate the site of the Stonewall Uprising for gay rights in New York City as a national monument.
The Stonewall Inn was a gay bar that was raided by the New York City police department to enforce a law making it illegal to sell alcoholic drinks to homosexuals. Gay Americans rioted in response, organizing activists and rallies across the country in support of gay rights in America.

In a YouTube video, Obama recalled the 1969 riots, praising the gay rights activists that reacted to the Stonewall arrests.

“Stonewall will be our first national monument to tell the story of the struggle for LGBT rights,” Obama said. “I believe our national parks should reflect the full story of our country — the richness and diversity and uniquely American spirit that has always defined us. That we are stronger together, that out of many we are one.”

Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Microsoft sign EU pledge to combat online hate speech ‘within 24 hours’

Hate speech is defined as anything hateful directed against anyone over issues of race, colour, religion, descent or national or ethnic origin
The move is hoped to prevent the use of social media by terrorist groups

The internet is a powerful tool, and the ability to spread information so quickly to such a huge audience can often have unfortunate consequences.
Social networking sites have often been used by terrorist organisations to relay messages and entice hatred against certain individuals or groups.
But now technology companies – including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube – have come together to try and combat this, by signing a code of conduct to combat hate speech online.

Social networking sites have often been used by terrorist organisations to relay messages and entice hatred against certain individuals or groups. But now tech giants have come together to try and combat this, by signing a code of conduct to combat hate speech online

The European Union has reached an agreement with some of the world’s biggest social media firms on ways to combat the spread of hate speech online.
Under the terms of a code of conduct, the firms have committed to ‘quickly and efficiently’ tackle illegal hate speech directed against anyone over issues of race, colour, religion, descent or national or ethnic origin.
Among the measures agreed with the EU’s executive arm, the firms have said they will establish internal procedures and staff training to guarantee that a majority of illegal content is assessed and, where necessary, removed within 24 hours.
The US firms insisted that following the EU rules would not compromise freedom of speech.
They have also agreed to strengthen their partnerships with civil society organisations who often flag content that promotes incitement to violence and hateful conduct.
The European Commission and the firms have also agreed to support civil society organisations to deliver ‘anti-hate campaigns.’

Hillary Rakes in Nearly $75,000 From Justice Department Employees

Calls continue for appointment of a special counsel
BY: Joe Schoffstall
May 10, 2016 4:58 am

Hillary Clinton has received nearly $75,000 in political contributions from employees at the Department of Justice, the agency that would decide whether or not to act if the FBI recommended charges against Clinton or her aides following its investigation into her private email server.

Justice Department employees have given Clinton far more money than her rivals, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) and Donald Trump, according to a review of federal campaign contributions for the 2016 presidential cycle.

Clinton collected $73,437 from individuals who listed the “Department of Justice” as their employer. Twelve of the 228 contributions were for $2,700, the maximum individual amount allowed by law.

…David Bossie, president of the watchdog group Citizens United, told the Washington Free Beacon he is not surprised by the donations, and renewed his call for Attorney General Loretta Lynch to appoint a special counsel to handle Clinton’s case.

“I’m not surprised in the least to see more evidence that shows the politicization of the Justice Department,” Bossie said in a statement to the Free Beacon. “How can Democrat political appointees fairly investigate someone who is about to become their nominee for president? That’s why last July I called on Attorney General Lynch to appoint an impartial special counsel to investigate the private Clinton email server.”

“Today, I renew my call that Attorney General Lynch must appoint a special counsel to determine if Hillary Clinton or her agents broke the law and compromised our national security,” he continued. “This investigation needs to be conducted free of political influence once and for all.”

Bossie has questioned whether Lynch could remain impartial due to her past political donations. Lynch gave $10,700 in contributions to Democratic candidates between 2004 and 2008.

Howard Krongard, who was inspector general for the State Department from 2005 to 2008, predicted earlier this year that even if the FBI referred Clinton’s case to the Justice Department for prosecution it would “never get to an indictment.”

Krongard said the case would have to go through “four loyal Democratic women,” including Lynch, top White House adviser Valerie Jarrett, Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, and Assistant Attorney General Leslie Caldwell, who heads the department’s criminal division.

…“The report out today that Hillary Clinton received almost $75,000 in political contributions from Justice Department employees is yet another reason why the Justice Department cannot and should not decide whether to bring a case against Hillary Clinton for her reckless handling of classified information while Secretary of State,” Whitaker said in a statement. “The decision of whether or not to bring a case against Clinton will be a difficult one for Attorney General Loretta Lynch, as I don’t believe she has the fortitude to oppose President Obama, who has publicly said Clinton’s behavior didn’t put our national security at risk. Since this Administration has shown no ability to be impartial, looking the other way at every turn of this investigation, I’m renewing an urgent call for the appointment of a special counsel in this case.”

Hacker Claims He Breached Hillary Clinton’s Email Server — ‘It Was Easy’

Romanian hacker Marcel Lehel Lazar, better known as “Guccifer,” was extradited from his native Romania to a detention center in Alexandria, Virginia, last month.

The curiously-timed move was widely assumed to have some connection to the Hillary Clinton email scandal, as Lazar’s exploits are the major reason the American people know about Hillary Clinton’s secret mail system.

Clinton was able to keep her official correspondence hidden from Congress and the Freedom of Information Act, until Guccifer hacked the America Online account of Clinton confidant Sidney Blumenthal. The former Secretary of State’s “Clintonemail.com” address appeared on some of the stolen Blumenthal emails.

Fox News scored a jailhouse interview with Lazar on Wednesday, and he made the bombshell claim that he did hack into Clinton’s server, which — as the world now knows — contained thousands of classified documents, some at the highest Top Secret level.

“For me, it was easy,” said Lazar. Then he made it less of a boast and more of a slam on Clinton’s weak system security: “Easy for me, for everybody.”…
