VENICE FILM FESTIVAL OPENS IN ITALY

The Venice film festival opened this week with the premiere of the latest George Clooney film “Gravity” and a gay romantic comedy, “Gerontophilia”.

Gravity, a sci-fri thriller starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock, opened the festival, which is the oldest film festival in the world. Gerontophilia is made by Toronto based photographer, pornographer and indie director Bruce LaBruce.

The Venice film festival does not have the protocol as the Cannes film festival, and is regarded as more adventurous than Cannes. After the Venice film festival is the massively important and influential Toronto Film Festival.

President Obama returns to Los Angeles

President Obama is scheduled to arrive at Los Angeles International Airport after 1 p.m. Sunday, October 7. His Sunday evening is scheduled to include a backstage reception, concert and dinner. The concert, called “30 Days to Victory” at downtown L.A.’s Nokia Theater, will feature Katy Perry, Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson, Earth Wind and Fire, and Jon Bon Jovi. Presidential pal Clooney will make a special appearance to introduce Wonder. After the concert, Obama will head next door for a $25,000-per-plate dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s chic WP24.
Obama is scheduled to depart from LAX on Monday morning and head to a midday ceremony in Keene, near Tehachapi, where he will dedicate the new César E. Chávez National Monument. The President will then continue north to San Francisco for a fundraising dinner hosted by superstar chef Alice Waters, and a concert headlined by John Legend.

Again the Obama camp are attacking the wealthy. One must ask are they looking to create this great class war, where the wealthy owe the poor something.

But statistics show the majority of the wealthy in this country have their wealth through hard work- not privilege, not handed to them on a silver plater. Furthermore, the wealthy already contribute the most to the Federal Reserve, but take the least out of it.

Are Obama and Biden trying to create a sense of injustice in people? Making them feel the rich CEO of that big company owes them something? Are we seeing yet more of that division being created across America?

Is this attack not slightly hypocritical when Obama and Biden hold fundraisers with George Cloony and hedge fund managers? Asking the mega rich for massive donations to finance his re-election bid.

Obama talks gay rights at Clooney fundraiser

As the Presidential elections are only 5 months away Obama is busy on the fund-raising trail, building a substantial war chest.

Recently George Clooney hosted an Obama fundraiser at his Hollywood home, which raised nearly $15 million.

Tickets cost $40,000 each and amongst the 150 guests were Barbara Streisand, Salma Hayek, Tobey Maguire and Jack Black.

Obama delighted the crowd with his speech endorsing gay-rights, which came only days after he came out, openly expressing his views on same-sex marriage, after conversations with his children.

Since Obama’s endorsement of gay marriage, he has been free in expressing his support of Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues.

With so many big money democrat supporters – passionate about same-sex marriage, or homosexual issues, – Obama has seen this position pay off with significant donations pouring in.

Although his strong black support base tend to hold a traditional view on marriage, Obama seems to be hoping they will vote according to race, and not moral conviction.
