In a first in the history of physics, scientists have turned light into a supersolid. The advantages of supersolids include use as coolants for quantum devices, aiding the stability of qubits, which store data and perform calculations in quantum computing, use in high-capacity batteries or supercapacitors, or as high-performance lubricants in precision engineering, thus cutting down wear and tear on machinery.

Peter Jackson has shared the news that his filming of “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: There and Back Again” has finished.
The film will be sent out in two parts starting with The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey starting Decemeber 14. There and Back Again will be released in December 2013.
The Lord of the Rings Series also filmed by Peter Jackson illustrates the battle for middle earth with the forces of good vs evil, light versus darkness.
