One of two men shot Tuesday less than a mile from Santa Monica College has died, police said.
The shooting shocked residents already reeling from a shooting rampage in the area that left six people dead four days earlier, police said.
The shooting was reported at 8:15 a.m. in the 1500 block of Michigan Avenue, Santa Monica police said.

His historical timeline begins with the occupation of the Costanoan Indians, followed by Catholic missionaries, the Mexican government, the Americans, white settlers, and ultimately “rich white men,” who turned the property into one of the nation’s leading universities.
But Bardack had a warning ready for the rich, white men: “Your land is covered with blood…. Your people ripped off the land from the Indians a long time ago. If you want it back now, you will have to fight for it again.”

A member of the Prophet TV team contacted the head of Presbyterian church in Kentucky to inform them occult rituals were being conducted in their churches. They were unconcerned by this. The Presbyterian church has a history of hosting these events, as well as exhibitions and sand mandala ceremonies; in Santa Monica and in other locations in America. After our conversation with the head office in Kentucky a freak plane crash occurred nearby. This week saw the arrest of the Mobster James “Whitney” Bulger in Santa Monica. The gangster, with Mafia connections, had been on the FBI’s most wanted list for 16 years. FBI agents were amazed to find the gangster so far from his home city of Boston.

The Santa Monica Farmer’s Market was destroyed yesterday when George Russell Weller, 86, may have accidentally pressed the accelerator of his car instead of the brake. This caused the car to go ramming through the barricade meant to keep everyone out of harms way. Witnesses said he was swerving back and forth while accelerating and hitting many people along his path during the 20 second rampage. By the time he came to a stop, he had killed 9 people and injured 63 people. A tenth victim died later adding to the extent of the tragedy.
UPDATE: In 2008, the legal case was closed and the city of Santa Monica and other defendants paid $21 million to settle dozens of civil lawsuits as a result of the tragedy.
