The Venice film festival opened this week with the premiere of the latest George Clooney film “Gravity” and a gay romantic comedy, “Gerontophilia”.
Gravity, a sci-fri thriller starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock, opened the festival, which is the oldest film festival in the world. Gerontophilia is made by Toronto based photographer, pornographer and indie director Bruce LaBruce.
The Venice film festival does not have the protocol as the Cannes film festival, and is regarded as more adventurous than Cannes. After the Venice film festival is the massively important and influential Toronto Film Festival.
