Iran’s Army Prepare for War

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard have been placed on a war footing. Iran is again facing international pressure over it’s nuclear program, and it is now increasingly apparent that Iran will not give up it’s nuclear ambitions.

The Iranian government believe it’s nuclear program is the victim of a concerted and sustained attack from the West, beginning last year with a cyber attack directly upon it’s nuclear facilities. Iran also believe the West is responsible for two recent explosions, both military targets.

“It looks like the 21st century form of war,” said Patrick Clawson of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, a Washington think tank, told the Los Angeles Times. “It does appear that there is a campaign of assassinations and cyber war, as well as the semi-acknowledged campaign of sabotage.”

Iran have been hitting back by raiding the British embassy in Tehran and shooting down a US spy drone. Iran have seized computers from the British embassy, and the US security services are concerned over the loss of the spy drone.

This escalation in the region has to be taken seriously. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has openly spoken of his belief that he is God’s chosen vessel to usher in the coming of the Mahdi, an Islamic Messianic figure.

The Mahdi, or 12th Imam is prophesied to come in the midst of an apocalyptic type war, resulting in the destruction of Israel. It is little wonder that the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is taking the threat very seriously. Prime Minister Netanyahu has said Israel would make “the right decision at the right moment”. For Israel, an Iran with a nuclear arsenal is not an option that they will tolerate.

  1. Q1: “Adam is the first Christ, even as Christ is the final Adam.” Adam/Eve were unique in all of God’s ceiatron, made in the image and likeness of God and therefore sacred, ie. “set-apart” from all other aspects of ceiatron. They were Holy! Do you agree? Do you feel love toward Adam & Eve? I think that this is more of a play on words. I agree that Adam was the first Christ; if Christ is to mean the anointed one. When I hear the word Christ, I associate the word with Jesus. When you say that Christ is the final Adam; I translate Christ to mean Jesus. I believe that “Christ” was originally meant to be a title. Christ has now become a name or part of the name “Jesus Christ.” Either way, both were anointed and each had a special purpose in God’s plan of ceiatron & redemption. Adam’s disobedience resulted in death and Christ’s obedience resulted in life.Interesting fact: Both Jesus and Adam had no earthly father. I have never thought about loving Adam or Eve. I do not feel anything for them. The proper Christian response would be to say that I love them. One thing I can say is that nothing changed in God’s relationship with Adam & Eve before and after the fall. The event had no impact on God’s love for them.Q2: By now you should be getting that ALL BELIEVERS are called to prophecy! And yet there are differences for the function/use of prophecy. What is the difference between a prophet, the function of prophecy, and the office of the Prophet? Why is it important that a emerging prophet remain in relationship/submission to an Apostle and a prophetic community? A prophet is an individual that receives divine knowledge from God. Prophesy is the process of communicating that divine knowledge to others for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort. The Prophetic office is one of the fivefold ministry offices. Just as all are able to share the gospel not all are called to be pastors. Just as all believers are called to prophecy not all are called to be prophets. The prophetic office is given by God.Both the Prophet and the Apostle hear from God but have different functions. Apostles are anointed by God and are used to set the things of the body of Christ and the kingdom of God in order. I believe that a prophet that has an apostolic covering will be more focused and effective.A good model of a relationship between an apostle & prophet is best displayed as that of John the Baptist (prophet) and Jesus (apostle).
