Residents in Southern California on Monday were greeted with pungent smells of sulfur.
Officials have been perplexed. An explanation being explored is a wind delivered odor from a recent large scale fish die off in the Salton Sea.
Residents of Riverside County through to the San Fernando Valley were the recipients of the odor, about 150 miles from the Salton Sea.
Experts however are skeptical of this explanation.
Jack Crayon, who is an environmental scientist with the Department of Fish and Game in California says that this odor development around the sea is common, it occurs a few times a year and that it is unusual for the odor to travel that kind of distance.

Last Wednesday, Corkins entered the Washington DC downtown office of the Family Research Council, pulled out a 9-mm gun from his backpack and started shooting.
According to the FBI, Corkins’ stated “I don’t like your politics,” prior to the shooting. After being wrestled to the ground by a security guard, Corkin also said “… it was not about you, it was what this place stands for”, Fox News reported.

Jamie DeWolf, the great-grandson of L. Ron Hubbard the Scientology founder, says that the Scientology church destroyed his family.
Even though he never met his great grandfather DeWolf has labeled Hubbard as a “portly red-headed charismatic lying con-man pseudoscience self-help author” and describes Scientology as a “pyramid scheme that sells secrets and they sell them under the guise of self-help.”
In an interview with CBS out of San Francisco, DeWolf relates a story of how the church spied and followed on him with a number of Scientologists.
DeWolf feels that Tom Cruise is a “golden mascot,” and that his marriage breakup with Katie Holmes, was probably due to her becoming aware of the behind the scenes of Scientology. However he views Cruise as “… another victim of the mirage that my great grandfather created around himself,”

It turns out that Jessica Ghawi, aka Jessica Redfield who was killed at the Batman movie premiere in Aurora, had just escaped a Toronto mall shooting on June 2, 2012.
Her experience was documented in her blog. Her entries describe the sense/feelings that she had before the shooting occurred.
“This empty, almost sickening feeling won’t go away…I noticed this feeling when I was in the Eaton Center in Toronto just seconds before someone opened fire in the food court. An odd feeling which led me to go outside and unknowingly out of harm’s way. It’s hard for me to wrap my mind around how a weird feeling saved me from being in the middle of a deadly shooting.

There will be “consequences” if you don’t “respect the chain of command” according the the head of the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives).
To Republican lawmakers (Senators Charles Grassley and Darrell Issa in a letter to Acting Director B. Todd Jones) this “could be interpreted as a threat” to possible whistleblowers.
The message is “ominous” and “appears to be … a not-so-veiled threat telling (ATF employees) not to do what they did to expose Fast and Furious,” according to Issa.
