Presidential Election 2012: Too Close to Call

With only three days until the election it is too close to call. Most polls have President Obama and Mitt Romney neck-and-neck. The last time an election was this close was in 2000 when George W Bush beat Al Gore. Back in 2000, like now, both men were polling at 47% each. In 2000 Al Gore won the popular vote, but lost the electoral collage – Bush won Ohio! In 2000, there were legal challenges and recounts. Some think this year will be as close as 2000.

The figures behind this years election point to a deeply divided nation. Unlike many Western democracies, where elections are marked by candidates who are remarkably similar, Obama and Romney have very different policies. The two men seek to take the nation down very different paths.

After such a long and bitter campaign, let us hope the winner will be able to unite the nation after Tuesday’s election.

Absentee ballots could hang up Ohios results | The Marion Star | marionstar.com

A new Ohio program intended to make voting easier has the potential to keep the presidential election in doubt until late November if the national outcome hinges on the state’s 18 electoral votes.Under Secretary of State Jon Husted’s initiative to send absentee ballot applications to nearly 7 million registered voters across Ohio, more than 800,000 people so far have asked for but not yet completed an absentee ballot for the Nov. 6 election.Anyone who does not return an absentee ballot, deciding instead to vote at the polls, will be required to cast a provisional ballot. That’s so officials may verify that they did not vote absentee and also show up at the polls.

New Poll Suggests A Dead Heat

The latest poll, published today, suggests a dead heat between Obama and Romney in the race for the White House.

With six days to go until the election, no one can predict which way the election will go. Within the key swing states, it appears Romney has a slight lead over Obama in Florida. Florida has 29 electoral votes up for grabs.

In the pivotal state of Ohio, polls either show the race tied or Obama with a slight lead. No Republican has ever been elected President without the Buckeye states 18 electoral votes.

For both President Obama and Republican Romney the next 6 days will be crucial, both men have all to play for in their bid to be Commander in Chief for the next four years.

CNN INTERACTIVE ELECTORAL MAP

Ohio Ohio Ohio…. Why is Ohio key to the election?

In this most important of election years it could not be closer. Recent polls have Republican Mitt Romney slightly ahead, but when you break down the polls state by state the election could be either man’s.

Yet again Ohio is thought to be the key, with it’s 18 electoral votes this is the state that could swing the election. Historically, no Republican has ever been elected to the White House without securing Ohio.

WHO WINS OHIO WINS THE PRESIDENCY

Yet again Ohio is key to another Presidential election.

Ohio is regarded as the most important of all the swing states at election time. This is not only due to demographics but also because Ohio has 18 electoral votes. History shows no republican has ever been elected President without winning Ohio- it decided the election for George W Bush in 2004, and in 2000. And this year is no exception.

Deadly Tornadoes Ravage Midwest

This last week has seen the deadliest outbreak of Tornadoes in the Midwest in nearly 40 years. So far the death toll stands at 272, however this is likely to rise yet further. In the worst affected regions, such as Tuscaloosa, Alabama, whole neighbourhoods have been destroyed, the mayor of the city has said that in Tuscaloosathe infrastructure is “absolutely decimated”. In the worst affected regions whole buildings are being reported missing and falling debris is now a real risk to people and buildings.

Meteorologists do not believe the Midwest has seen the end of this deadly season. With the tornado season spanning spring- early summer more could be on the way, with Sean Morris the CNN Meteorologist quoted as saying, “This could be one of the most devastating tornado outbreaks in the nation’s history by the time it’s over.” The 2011 tornado season has started quickly, and has already caused more damage in two days than the whole season in 2010.

In the wake of the tornadoes, regions around the Mississippi River and Ohio River are witnessing record flooding, and the water levels are still rising.

The financial cost of this years tornado season is yet to be counted, it is an added financial burden the nation could do without.

The latest wave of storms this week has come a week after another tornado system killed 10 people in Arkansas, and 1 in Mississippi.

Tornadoes occur when the warm moist air from the Gulf of Mexico collides with the cool northern air, creating a massive storm. However, for years Prophet TV has been fighting the water spirits behind these phenomena. Repeatedly we have shown when a Son of God stands in a region and builds a wall of protection around that region destruction does not hit. The Presence of God creates a bubble of protection, where the demonic cannot enter. The Gulf of Mexico is the source of much VooDoo, practised throughout the Caribbean region, particularly in Haiti.

The source of the Mississippi in Iowa is the location of a three-dimensional mandala. The creation of mandalas also evokes water spirits. These two seemingly different practises both evoke the same spirits, that seek to bring death and destruction- in particular to the church.

The Midwest is famous as the “Bible Belt”, where are the Christians in this region protecting against these water spirits, which destroy their property and kill their families? Jesus dealt with water spirits in His ministry, but the white American church does not understand these spiritual powers waring against them. It is time to wake up and walk in the Power and Dominion Jesus died to give His church.
