GUNMAN KILLS 13 IN WASHINGTON DC

Monday afternoon a gunman went on a shooting rampage at the US Navy Yard in Washington, at least 13 are believed to have been killed. The FBI have said the gunman has been killed and has been named as 34 year old Aaron Alexis, from Fort Worth Texas. Alexis served in the US military from 2007-11.

The FBI do not have a motive for the attack.

The US Navy Yard, Washington, is the headquarters of the Naval Sea Systems Command, which engineers, purchases, builds and maintains ships and submarines for the Navy.

WASHINGTON DC – SUPREME COURT CONVENES AT 10am TUESDAY TO HEAR DOMA ARGUMENTS – HOW DOES THE SYSTEM WORK?

An article published by the American Foundation for Equal Rights gives excellent insight into how the Supreme Court Judges proceed, as they hear arguments around the California Proposition 8 case on Tuesday 26th at 10am and the Defence of Marriage Act on Wednesday, taking place at the Supreme Court in Washington DC.

The nine Justices are seated by seniority. The Chief Justice occupies the center chair, the senior Associate Justice sits to his right, the second senior to his left, and so on, alternating right and left by seniority.

Audio of the proceedings will be made available shortly after oral argument concludes on each day since cameras and love updates are prohibited from inside the courtroom. The Supreme Court has said that audio will be released by 1 p.m. EDT on Tuesday and 2 p.m. EDT on Wednesday. Since seating inside the Court is extremely limited, it is on a first come basis.

Proceedings

Shortly before 10:00 a.m., the Justices will meet in the Robing Room. This is where they will all shake hands and don their robes.

At 10:00 a.m., oral argument will begin.  As the Justices enter the courtroom, the Marshal of the Court will intone:

The Honorable, the Chief Justice and the Associate Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States.  Oyez!  Oyez!  Oyez!  All persons having business before the Honorable, the Supreme Court of the United States, are admonished to draw near and give their attention, for the Court is now sitting.  God save the United States and this Honorable Court!

The Chief Justice will call the case and invite Charles J. Cooper, attorney for the Proponents of Proposition 8, to the lectern.  He has 30 minutes to make his argument.

Once Mr. Cooper has concluded, the Chief Justice will invite AFER lead co-counsel Ted Olson to the lectern which will begin his 20 minutes to make his argument. He may choose to reserve some of his time for a rebuttal after the argument for the United States has been compeated.

After Mr. Olson has completed his argument, the Chief Justice will invite Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli, Jr. to the lectern.  The Solicitor General has 10 minutes to make his argument for the United States as amicus curiae, or “friend of the Court”. He will be speaking in support of AFER’s Plaintiffs.

If Mr. Cooper reserved time for rebuttal, he will then have the remainder of his time to address the Court.

The case is submitted for consideration once the oral arguments have been completed.  The Justices are expected to vote at their private Conference on Friday, March 29.  A final decision should be published by the end of June.

The Cases

The U.S. Supreme Court is considering two cases that deal with marriage equality for gay and lesbian Americans this week.

On Tuesday, March 26, the Court will hear oral argument in Hollingsworth v. Perry,. This is AFER’s federal constitutional challenge to California’s Proposition 8. Two couples, Kris Perry & Sandy Stier and Paul Katami & Jeff Zarrillo, are represented by Ted Olson and David Boies. Mr Olson will argue that Proposition 8 violates the Due Process and Equal Protection Clauses of the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution. Learn more about the Perry case >

On Wednesday, March 27, the Court will hear oral argument in United States v. Windsor, a challenge to the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). This is the 1996 law that prevents the federal government from recognizing the legal marriages of gay and lesbian couples in states with marriage equality. The case came about because Edie Windsor, an 83-year-old widow, was forced to pay $363,000 in estate taxes after her wife died. This is a tax she would not have had to pay if she was married to a man. Ms. Windsor claims that DOMA violates her right to equal protection of the laws and is represented by the ACLU.

The National Cathedral in Washington D.C. is to begin performing same-sex marriage ceremonies. The District of Columbia, and the neighbouring state of Maryland, both legalised same-sex marriage last year.

The National Cathedral has a long and illustrious history. Hosting inaugural services and funerals for Presidents. It was also the place Martin Luther King gave his final sermon.

The Cathedral is part of the Episcopalian church. The bishop of Washington DC, the Rt Rev Mariann Edgar Budde, decided in December to allow churches within the diocese to perform same-sex marriages if they wished.

The Dean of the National Cathedral the Very Rev Gary Hall, said he believes allowing same-sex marriages reflects the diversity found in God’s word.

Speaking to the Associated Press, Hall said, “I read the Bible as seriously as fundamentalists do… and my reading of the Bible leads me to want to do this because I think it’s being faithful to the kind of community that Jesus would have us be.”

In theory ceremonies could take place immediately, however it is likely the first marriages will take place within the next 6-12 months, due to the schedule of the Cathedral and the church’s requirement that couples take part in their pre-marriage counselling course.

Possible motives of accused D.C shooter identified

Floyd Lee Corkins II of Herndon Virginia, has been charged with federal firearms violations and assault with intent to kill.

Last Wednesday, Corkins entered the Washington DC downtown office of the Family Research Council, pulled out a 9-mm gun from his backpack and started shooting.

According to the FBI, Corkins’ stated “I don’t like your politics,” prior to the shooting.  After being wrestled to the ground by a security guard, Corkin also said “… it was not about you, it was what this place stands for”, Fox News reported.

Despite Corkin’s apparent attempts to wreak wider havoc, he was unable to get past security at the Conservative nonprofit organization.

The Family Research Council’s website indicates they seek to advance “faith, family and freedom in public policy and public opinion”.  They oppose gay marriage and abortion, have lobbied federally on behalf of these issues and have supported Chick-fil-A’s president Dan Cathy and his recent remarks on the gay marriage issue.

Corkins is a volunteer with the DC center for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Community.  He also was carrying sandwiches from Chick-fil-A in addition to 50 rounds of ammunition.

Pelosi: Spirits talking to me in the White House

To much applause, San Francisco based Democrat Nancy Pelosi describes the spirits who are with her, and relates the relief they had at gaining access in the government.   She described the encounter when she first became part of the democratic leadership.

Pelosi has described this spiritual encounter more than once, most recently at a gathering of the Women’s Political Committee.  On another occasion at the Trinity Washington University’.

Pelosi feels that there is more than one spirit that is with her and feels like they are Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Alice Paul.

Coincidentally, Pelosi also happens to be an ardent supporter of Buddhism, and openly supports the head of the Tibetan Buddhists, the Dalai Lama, who Buddhists believe is the 14th reincarnation of the first Dalai Lama.  The Dalai Lama preached from the lawns of the Capitol Building in Washington DC in his recent visit to the USA, gaining access to many senior government politicians, and those in the White House.

CA Student killed while trekking cross country for life

Andrew Moore and his “pro-life walker” partner were praying the Rosary as they were walking route U.S 40 near Stilesville, in Hendricks County Indiana as they were approached from behind by a vehicle that ended up killing Moore.

The group had already walked from San Francisco and only had 600 miles to go before arriving at Washington, D.C.

Police indicate that it was simply an accident.  There were no signs of alcohol or vehicular loss of control.

Moore was an A student, helped the homeless and had been on a mission trip to Mexico, helping the poor to build homes.

Hurricanes, Terror Attacks, and Protection

The end of August saw the first hurricane of the season hit mainland America. Hurricane Irene battered the eastern seaboard, causing widespread flooding and power cuts. New Yorkers were adviser to evacuate the city and Manhattan was expected to take a direct hit.

However, the New York ICOTG gateway refused to leave the city, and Golden Girl stepped up to the plate to intercede. God anointed her, and spoke, “Because you chose Me and chose to go through My process, I am putting a temporary 10 fold mantle on you, and even as you face the storm and raise your hands it will dissipate around you.” The results were obvious to see. Irene was downgraded as it went past Manhattan, the predicted flooding, power cuts and structural damage were not seen in Manhattan. However, the regions around the city were hit by extensive flooding, power cuts and loss of life.

Very few Christians will go through God’s process. Only when we go through “great tribulations” and have our garments washed white in the blood of the lamb, can God give permanent mantles.  It is only these mantles, or gifts and levels of the anointing that breaks the yoke and gets the job done.

The fact that huge levels of destruction hit everywhere is clear; that very few in the Body of Christ have these levels of God’s power.

This week has seen tropical storm Lee travel up the eastern seaboard, again unhindered. In it’s wake has been flooding and extensive damage to basic infrastructure. People who had experienced the flooding left by Irene are again under water. New Jersey has been particularly badly hit, with the Passaic River again flooding, however this time the problems are being compounded by the flooding of the Delaware River. Binghamton, Pennsylvania was cut off, and experienced it’s worst ever flooding; two deaths in Pennsylvania have been blamed on the storms. Officials asked over 120,000 people to evacuate their homes throughout the north-east.

Officials were also beginning to fear another potential catastrophe as Hurricane Katia travelled north towards American mainland in the wake of tropical storm Lee.

This storm was EXACTLY like Irene in size and focus and now with the ground completely saturated and already extensive floods, this would have brought major damage.

Remember: when the enemy comes in like a flood, God, returns the STANDARD HE has RAISED AGAINST THE ATTACK…

As the “Mantle” simply returned to the territory, while others prayed and prayed their ‘words’ trying to convince God to do something, all it took was the “Mantle” given long ago, to re-enter the territory. There were no magical words that were suddenly prayed for this to change.

Suddenly the hurricane stalled, and could not enter NY, and is now deflected and heading toward the UK. It is expected to hit the United Kingdom Sunday night. The UK Met office have already issued a severe weather warning for all parts of Great Britain, warning of extensive flooding, transport disruption, and structural damage.

Two more storms: one in the gulf, tropical storm Nate, the other off the east coast, hurricane Maria.  We have already seen their power dissipate and change direction as the Mantle sits in New York. Nate is now heading away from the American mainland, clear of oil rigs in the gulf, and heads towards Mexico; and Maria is heading off into the Atlantic.

As well as the storms hitting the eastern seaboard there has been a significant terror threat issued for Washington DC and New York City to coincide with the 10th anniversary of 911. Hillary Clinton said there had been a “specific, credible but unconfirmed report”.

Intelligence was found when American soldiers raided Osama Bin Laden’s compound in May, which pointed to a possible al Qaeda attack on the US during the 911 anniversary. The intelligence points to a possible car or truck bomb targeting New York or Washington DC, and from studying al Qaeda’s past history the terrorist organization favors dates that carry significance. Prophet TV will be in New York at this time, and God has used this mantle in the past to protect the city from a terrorist attack, when in May 2010, a car bomb was detected and defused in Times Square, New York.
