Gay rights advocates in San Francisco are regrouping to broaden their fight. They seek to ban therapy, focused on converting teens with feelings of gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender issues to straight feelings, into other regions and States.
California is the first State in the nation to sign this kind of bill into law. California Governor Jerry Brown has labelled this kind of therapy as “quackery” with “no basis in science or medicine”.
Currently this ban applies only to therapists who are licensed and not to ministers or other lay people.
Some Christian legal groups are planning on fighting this in federal court.
A good film to see is “A Dangerous Method” staring Keira Knightley. A very interesting history of the foundation of Psychology as they track her character (real person) and Sigmund Freud trying to sell Psychoanalysis to the world. It outlines somethings are super natural and outside the natural realm. Freud goes on to say, it is hard enough to sell what we are doing to the world community of doctors as a legitimate science, without going into spiritual things. So dismisses it all. Today, much of Psychoanalysis is based on his work, void of any spiritual understanding. It is all sexual repression, with no spiritual explanation. Yet go into their institutes, all they do is drug people, yet the people keep talking about angles, demons, Jesus etc. Psychology is a religion of the mind, completely void of spiritual understanding. Yet, life comes from the spirit. It’s like you train your mind to forget or better yet, if your mind cannot understand it or control it, then it doesn’t exist… amazing arrogance.
What exactly do we do wrong by being proud and gay? How can we help it if we are born this way? Why the hatred? This is the same as racism against black people for being born black.
Christianity and Islam are always against our kind. May you rot in your own fabricated doctrines of hell.
